Man loses eye-Hit by stone in Debari tunnel
Man travelling in train loses his eye due to stone injury.
A man lost his eye when he was hit by a stone in Debari tunnel.
Jagdish (32) was on his way to Udaipur with ailing mother. He wanted to have his mother treated in MB hospital Udaipur, but destiny made him a patient there. At 11 a.m. on Monday when the train had crossed Debari tunnel, a stone falling from the hill came through the train’s window and hit his eye. His eye lid got torn apart and internal injury made his eye bleed.
Jagdish was in terrible pain and was looked after by ailing mother till they reached Udaipur. After reaching Udaipur, Station in-charge was informed about the incident who made arrangements for Jagdish and sent him to MB Hospital. Doctors in MB Hospital said that his eye would be operated on Tuesday but also informed him that he had lost his eye.
As per Station in-charge the stone was probably thrown by some notorious people or unintentionally by children playing on the hill side. Jagdish was supposed to have his mother checked for thyroid problem; instead he himself became a patient.
