This Raksha Bandhan there will be no Bhadra Kaal or inauspicious time for tying Rakhi during the day on 26-Aug. 4.5 hrs of ideal time have been noted for tying Rakhi this year.

As per astrologers, the best time for tying Rakhi this year is from 9 am to 12 noon and from 1:30 pm to 3 pm. The astrologers have also noted that this year Rakhsa Bandhan day will not have any Bhadra Kaal. Bhadra Kaal is believed to be malicious time during which all auspicious work should be avoided.

Meanwhile the city markets are seeing a variety of Rakhi collection across Ashok Nagar road, Bapu Bazaar, Maldas street, Dhanmandi and other places.

Preparations are also going in full swing for the Amrakhji Mela to be held on occasion of Thandi Rakhi on 27-Aug. Giant wheel and other rides have also started coming up in the area.
