Now, get e-challan for breaking traffic rules in Udaipur

e-challans will now be issued in Udaipur for breaking traffic rules. 40 e-challan machines were issued to police stations and traffic department on Sunday.

With the e-challan machine, policemen will be able to get complete details about the vehicle on putting its licence number. The machine will be connected to an online database and will provide details about all the shortcomings associated with the vehicle (e.g. non-renewal of registration). A challan with amount incorporating all the shortcoming will then be generated.

The e-challan will bring in more transparency into the system and will also help in nabbing RTO defaulters.

Out of the 40 e-challan machines, 30 have been delivered to Police Stations while 10 have been given to the traffic department.
