3 shops located at Ashwini bazaar were targetted by thieves on early Monday morning after the police patrol ended in that area. Shop owners Manish and Saurabh reported the thefts in Dhanmandi police station. The shops dealing in hardware and colour paint are situated next to each other. Thieves entered one of the shops from backside and went up the roof. They broke the door and entered the first floor of the shop. They then took away all the cash and other products from the shops.

The shop owners informed that they left for the day on Sunday evening. When they opened the shops on Monday morning, they discovered that a theft had taken place in their shops. The thieves even broke the CCTV cameras and took the digital video recorder (DVR) with them. As reported, night duty of police ended around 4 a.m. after which thieves came into action. They used the back side entry to avoid being noticed by anyone.
