The month of July is going to witness 2 eclipses where 2nd July will be total solar eclipse and 16th July will be partial lunar eclipse day. The only disappointing fact is that Indians will not be able to witness solar eclipse. We can however enjoy partial lunar eclipse on 16th July. The astronomers have begun preparations for their studies on the happenings on these dates.

The total solar eclipse will be visible from some areas of Chile and Argentina just before sunset. If the weather permits some areas in the Pacific and in South America, including locations in Ecuador, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay will experience a partial solar eclipse.

The partial lunar eclipse will begin at 1:32 a.m. on 16th July and end at 4:29 a.m. The lunar eclipse will take place for 3 hours. The scientists will study the cosmic radiation as the radiation will hit the moon directly and energize it.
