Helmet is an important headgear for the safety of two-wheeler riders. Every now and then road safety weeks are being organised to spread the awareness of the importance of helmet. But the youth are hardly bothered about safety and drive much in speed as a result of which many lives have been lost due to head injuries.

On Wednesday evening, a youth argued with police when he was stopped by the police for not wearing helmet. The incident occurred at mallatalai choraha while the police were conducting a check. The argument grew to such an extent that SI Shailendra Singh had to intervene to create peace among the 2 parties. As per eye witnesses, a youth was riding a bike with his sister when he was stopped by the police for not wearing helmet. The youth started arguing with police and a huge crowd gathered at the site. He was then taken to the police station where his parents were called for, after which he was issued a challan and then released.
