A couple from Udaipur was under a debt of 50 lakh rupees. The incident happened in 2005 after which the couple left Udaipur and settled in Coimbatore. This couple after absconding for 15 years has recently been arrested.

Yashpal Singh Gehlot and his wife Sudha Gehlot went deep neck in debt. The debt amounted to 50 lakh rupees. The couple had a share market office in Uday Park where a lot of people invested in their office. Yashpal did not return the investment amount to people as promised and the debt amount rose to 50 lakh rupees. The cheques they used to give to people always bounced. 9 warrants were issued against them by various courts. To escape the clutches of law and after being unable to pay debts, the couple escaped to Coimbatore where Yashpal started working in an electronics shop. They were living in a rented accommodation. An informer found out their details after which Udaipur police went to Coimbatore and arrested the couple.
