Udaipur tourism is to have another dimension in the form of facelift of Udaisagar pal. Town development authority performed an inaugural pooja ceremony for the development of Udaisagar pal on Tuesday.

Home Minister Kataria laid the foundation for development works at Udaisagar pal and Nandeshwar channel. President of the development authority Ravindra Shrimali informed that a budget of 75 lakh rupees has been approved for facelift and beautification of Udaisagar pal. He said that almost 22 lakh rupees have been spent on making a baradari (belvedere) at Nandeshwar dam. 20 lakh rupees have been approved for the second stage of development works wherein a retaining wall is being constructed.

The main works on the Udaisagar pal comprise of seating arrangements viz.2 shelters of 12×8. Local stone pitching will also be carried out on the pal. Landscaping and path-way as per the level of the ground will be carried out an area of 9500 sq. mtrs. A safety railing will also be constructed at the downstream. Platforms will be made around tress at the pal. Parking facility will also be available on an area of 10000 sq.ft. Sliding gates will be installed to ensure a no-vehicle zone in the interior region.
