Swami Jeevan Devmani – Reiki Grand Master of Udaipur Swami Jeevan Devmani is a man who always carries an ever smiling face, energetic spirits and impressive personality. Despite being a victim of polio he never let his disability came in between of his highly ambitious approach toward life. Being one of the most respectable Reiki Grand Master in Udaipur Swami Jeevan Devmani is also an Osho devotee, the name Swami Jeevan Devmani he took after taking sanyas. Prior to that Swami ji carries one more name which is given by their parents. i.e. Pushkar Raj Mali. Here is an interview with Swami Jeevan Devmani about his life, incidents, reiki and every good and bad experience he went through all these years. Please tell us little about yourself. I am a Reiki Grandmaster. Personally I am an osho follower. Osho had been a revolution in my life. Now I am a common man with uncommon interests. To earn my bread and butter I devote some of my time to office of Commissioner Devasthan Department of Rajasthan Government. How you first introduced to reiki? While attending a meditation camp at mehasana in august 1998 I met Mr. Desai a homeopathy Doctor of Modasa who was a reiki channel. He healed me for a while and I felt better. Since then, a curiosity about this therapy aroused in me. On returning back to Udaipur in September 1998 I saw a pamphlet of Major Kuldeepak Solanki conducting Reiki classes in Udaipur I approached him and attended his first degree class. Felt better and started working as his co-coordinator and learnt up to Master Degree. While working as his coordinator I gained a lot of experience about anatomy and diseases by healing several patients. After few years my Guru, Mr. Solanki felt that I am mature enough to start my own practice and thus I opened my own healing center at my residence in Kharol Colony. Who are your reiki gurus? While discussing with other Reiki masters who learned it from other places I found a little difference in techniques used by them. Further research showed that there are many techniques and it depends on a master what he teaches or imparts to his student. To become a complete master and in order to learn maximum techniques I disciple my self to 2 other teachers/masters other then Mr. Solanki, Dr. Sanjeev kashyap of Bikaner was second and Mr. Shanker Puraswani of Udaipur was the third one. Till today I am helped by shanker ji in various cases. He helps me to attune new students. The process of attunement requires a master to move a lot and I am unable to perform this. Can you tell us about your journey to Reiki and how many people you healed till now? I have healed more than thousand patients of emotional disturbances, Fears, Phobias, Depression or Magic Spells, Asthama, Wheezing, Migraine, Arthritis, Headache, Diabetes, Sexual Dysfunction, and Child Bearing. Apart from Reiki, I learned other healing methods like Acupressure, Naturopathy, Rudraksh therapy, Meridians, Urine therapy, Water and Color therapy, Crystal, Music and Pyramid science which help in effective healing and diagnosis. As a Reiki Teacher I conduct latest New Age Transformation courses in Reiki (1, 2, 3 and 4th Grandmaster Degree), Psychic surgery, Crystal Therapy, Reading and Feeling Aura, Pendulum Dowsing, Karuna Reiki (1, 2 & Masters). I have trained hundreds of people from India and abroad. What are the challenges you have faced because of your physical disability and how you dealt with them? My Physical Disability prevented me to enjoy a lot of privileges and rights. I was not able to gain traditional education because of it and many a times I was denied of admission in schools in infancy, was later admitted in nursery class at age of 8. On growing up and scoring good, circumstances forced me to study arts in a school nearby home, I was unable to travel to a distant school having science stream. I was not able to attend colleges as it was difficult for me to travel to classes on daily basis, and most of the time my cry for help was ignored by normal people around me, I felt boycotted by society and become an introvert. Possessing a photogenic face I tried my luck in modeling but again physical disability got me rejected. I made myself understand that I am a handicap by body not by soul therefore I kept trying things one after another. Till now I have traveled to many places in the country. How your day starts, what are your daily schedules? A normal day in my life starts at 5:30 am. Just after waking up from sleep I sit silently and meditate for some time. Proceed to my meditation/Reiki center (recently shifted to new Bhupalura) after daily routine to practice different Active meditation techniques suggested by osho. Next thing my schedule is to heal the people coming to centre. For some physical exercise I go on for a short morning walk. From 9:30 in morning to 6:30 I render my services to Government of Rajasthan. Soon after my office hours I rush home to take the only meal of a day which I am doing from past 20-22 years. Then I go out to heal chronic patients who are unable to come down. Again in evening I meditate for some time. Remaining time is spent with my friends either in a cafeteria or near Fatehsagar lake admiring nature, in late hours of night I entertain queries of my online friends or followers from different countries around the world. Generally I hit bed near 1 or 1:30 am in morning What are your hobbies and passions in life I always try to overcome my disability with my enthusiasm. I have passion for all forms of art and culture like paintings, music and drama. I learned painting in my school time achieved first position in a competition held at district level, attended a state level puppet making camp and was awarded by Late Mr. Mohan Lal Sukhadia, Chief Minister of Rajasthan at the time. Swami Jeevan Devmani – Reiki Grand Master of Udaipur I have completed my bachelor’s degree in Instrumental Music. I learned violin from Professor Amrit R Kavitkar Ex Vice Principal of M. G college. I love violin of its ability to capture heartily feelings of the player. Violin soothed my soul a lot, it is also said that violin is very close to human voice in expressions. By playing it I was able to express myself and my introvert nature was gone. Also I completed senior diploma in Guitar, my teacher was Mrs. Shanta Sen when I was a student of Sangeet Natya Niketan. I enjoyed membership of Spic Macay from 1989 to 1996. I am a life long member of Maharan Kumbha Sangeet Parishad. In field of theater I was a proud student of great Drama veterans of Udaipur city Mr Laique Hussain, Mr Hemant Pandya and Usmaan saab. I acted in Oh Macbeth of Shakespeare directed by Mubasser ali an NSD student and Hemant Pandya’s Satyanarayan Katha. What are your mantra of a happy and wonderful life? I live the life Zorba the Buddha Way, means I enjoy all tastes of life and rise high in spirituality. I follow 2 sayings of Osho • Utsav amar jati anand amar gotra: My castes is festivity and sub caste is joy search for all small and big reasons in life to celebrate. • Hansiba Kheliba dhariba dhyanam. Laugh, Play and Meditate. I always try to be merry in all set of circumstances. Any message to our readers?
