Vaibhav Khated made the nation proud by securing the second position in the 12th International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO). The competition was organised at Thailand.

Vaibhav is a 10th grade student in Udaipur. He had undergone a pre-departure training at Chennai before the competition from where he left for Thailand for the final stage.

Participants from 55 countries took part in the competition. To bag the silver medal in a competition of such major repute is truly commendable.

Vaibhav attributed his success to support from Geological Society of India, St. Mary’s school, teachers at the Chennai training camp and the blessings of his parents.

Vaibhav is now targetting the International Chemistry Olympiad and aims to become an engineer.
