In a saddening incident today, a polling officer died while the polling process was going on. The incident happened in Vallabhnagar, Udaipur.

The deceased has been identified as Suresh Paliwal. The incident happened today afternoon at around 3:30pm in Maharaj ki Khedi polling station (Booth number 66) in Vallabhnagar, Udaipur.

At around 3:30pm, Suresh suddenly fell down from his chair owing to giddiness. He was rushed to MB Hospital, Udaipur where the doctors pronounced him dead. Heart attack has been cited as the possible cause of his death.
