PVR: First Multiplex Launched in Udaipur

PVR Cinemas, one of the leading entertainment groups of India has launched their multiplex in Udaipur, today at Celebration Mall.

The first movie show was started at 10am with action-fiction ‘Transformers 3 – Dark of the Moon’; another show was started at 11:30 am with ‘Delhi Belly’. Other 2 movies being shown are ‘Bbuddha- Hoga Terra Baap’ and ‘Double Dhamaal’.


As far as the multiplex’s capacity is concerned, the theatre boasts of 4 screens with different seating capacities. In a bit detail, screen 1 has 297 seats; screen 2, 3 and 4 has 287, 259 and 305 seats respectively.

As far as spending moolah is concerned, PVR tickets are divided into three different categories —Normal, Prime and Primest- the rate of tickets varying according to the categories and also according to the day of the week one wants to enjoy a flick at a multiplex—tickets being costlier during the weekends.


The Hollywood blockbuster, Transformers 3 is being shown in both Hindi and English and in 2D and 3D versions as well. According to the general manager of PVR, Udaipur- Mr.Vineet, in the coming weekend, a new movie ‘Chillar Party’ is going to be shown.

The star cast of ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dubara’ which started its promotional event – travelling by road from Mumbai; might visit PVR when they will arrive in Udaipur in the next few days.

With a high tech 7.1 Dolby Digital sound and luxurious seating arrangement, PVR has become the most awaited brand in the plush mall of Udaipur – The Celebration Mall

On the first day of its opening, a large number of aficionados were seen desperate and excited as well to experience PVR shows. The PVR Udaipur has started its service a bit late as the multiplex was to open in June but from our sources we came to know that there were some ‘legal obstacles’ which postponed the inauguration for a month.

    Question Zaheer – Are they showing movies in 3D? or are these 3D movies but shown in the regular format? Also, just off of your mind, these days how much does a movie ticket cost on an average in INR?

    It is good Cinema in udaipur , i like it from bottom of heart . I have seen many movies with my friend thay also liked to take cleaness , staff beviour i mean good.
    Total we can say if you wanna see movies go to PVR. You will take fully enjoy with movies.
