QuestionPro, a Seattle-based online survey software company, is participating in the MakeInIndia campaign by rolling out a new program, the Academic License for Education Institutions in India. Using this license, students and staff at Indian universities and colleges can have free access to a QuestionPro Corporate account.
QuestionPro was started by serial entrepreneur Vivek Bhaskaran, who is also the founder of such companies as SurveyAnalytics, IdeaScale, and TryMyUI. Bhaskaran also serves as an advisor to companies like Jelli, Socedo, and Payboard. “I’ve always believed in a flat world. We’ve helped a lot of universities here in the United States, and I want to bring this same world-class technology to students and faculty members in India.”
QuestionPro has helped more than 3,000 universities world-wide power their academic research projects. Universities have gone beyond traditional research projects and have used QuestionPro to administer exams and quizzes, course evaluations, and even applications. Bhaskaran is hopeful that the educational institutions in India will find the same use for QuestionPro in their institutions.
Eligible universities and colleges that participate in the Academic License for Education Institutions in India program will gain access to features such as unlimited surveys and unlimited responses with no restrictions on institution size or volume-based pricing caps.
“The unique part of this license is that universities and colleges will also benefit from a customizable portal to match their identity, including a custom-branded login, and signup portals for enrolled students,” said Bhaskaran. “From there, university staff and students can have access to the many question types, email management tools, advanced survey logic, and custom reporting offered by QuestionPro.”
When asked how institutions can quality for this program, Aditya Bhat, Vice President of Sales for QuestionPro explained, “The basic eligibility for educational institutes to enroll for the free academic license is that the university or college should sign up using a valid university email account and begin to create a portal.” From there, students can subscribe to the university-hosted portal free of charge to access the QuestionPro tools.
“Universities will also have access to customer support on their progress and data, and, as they continue to utilize the license, additional benefits will be made available.”
Students under this academic license who use and learn from the content provided by QuestionPro can, upon graduating, become eligible for a standard Corporate license at a subsidized rate.
