Where, at one end there is obnoxious greed, uproar, hatred and violence all over the world, on the other side there is happiness, tranquility, unity and love spreading every day, every minute and certainly good is more powerful than bad which is making this world still a place worth living. Robin Hood Army showed this when they visited Arvana with their team.
In ancient folklore Robin Hood was known as “robbing from rich and giving it to poor” but we are talking about today’s Robin hood Army – a group of youth giving their best to make the lives of deprived and underprivileged people good by providing them food and education.
The group began their work in Udaipur last year by collecting leftover food from restaurants in the city and distributing it to homeless and deprived people. Adding more to their goodness, now they also started giving free education to the kids and taking them out to malls and gardens for a fun outing.
Chahat Arora – one of the core members of the group informed, “Robin Hood Army is a Delhi based group whose one chapter is in Udaipur where we are around 30 members who are planning and coordinating everything from collecting food, distributing, educating and spreading our reach among masses.”
“I with my friend Rahun Lodha and Khyati Mehta first begin the work in Udaipur last year, now Surabhi Khatri Panwar a well known educationist of the city also joined us and providing all required assistance in teaching these kids” said Chahat.
Surabhi Khatri Panwar said, “We recently visited the newly opened Arvana – The Shopping Destination where all the kids enjoyed gamezone, visited rooftop and had snacks. It was fun for them and we appreciate Arvana Management for the support”.
Surabhi said, “We have a strong team of 30 people and we take no funds from anyone, we pay every expense from our own pocket and that makes us feel contended”. But, we always want our Robin Hood Army to get strong with more voluntary participation.
“These kids are so intelligent and active; we wish their lives get better with our small contribution.”
