IPL 2020 Auctions : 5 Biggest players to look out for

IPL 2020 is still a few months away, but the discussions and speculations around players and the teams have already started. The teams have released players and the management committee has announced the auctions to take place later this year in Kolkata.

Amid all the releases and restructuring, there are a number of players who are getting a lot of attractions ahead of the auctions. These players are hot guns ahead of the next season and could attract huge bids from all the teams.

Let’s have a look at 5 of the available players for this season’s auction who will certainly attract a lot of interest from all 8 franchisees.

Michell Starc

One of the best Australian fast bowlers of the current generation, Starc has not featured in a lot of IPL games. He played in 2014 and 2015 seasons, and since then, injuries have kept him away from the IPL. In that time, he has established himself as one of the most sought after white ball bowlers and it could be interesting to see him bring his aggression and experience in the IPL.

Starc has been in great form lately. In the 50 over world cup concluded in July this year, he finished as the leading wicket taker for the second successive world cup. He also became the fastest to take 150 ODI wickets.

He is no more a front line australian bowler and likely available for the entire next season. If an injury doesn’t hamper his way into the IPL, we could see his signature wicket-taking celebrations in the coming IPL.

Eoin Morgan

England’s world cup winning captain has surprisingly gone unsold in last 2 IPL auctions. One of the reasons behind that was the unavailability of England players for the entire seasons. However, the summer season of England starts in June in 2020 and the players are set to remain available for the entire duration.\

Eoin Morgan has established himself as an elegant hitter of the cricket ball and has been consistent in revamping the shorter format performance of the English team. His captaincy skills are an added advantage and with a few teams looking for a seasoned captain, he could be a great interest when the auction hammer gets going.

Glenn Maxwell

Glenn Maxwell has been one of the most talked about players in the Australian line up for a while now. In the IPL circuits, he first made headline when he was bought by Mumbai Indians for 1 Million Dollars and did not get to play a single game in the entire season.

In IPL 2019, Glenn Maxwell made himself unavailable for the IPL auctions for preparing for the world cup. However, with no such assignment set for next year, Glenn Maxwell could be a good choice for the teams for his all round skills.

Pat Cummins

Despite impressing everyone with his skills and pace, Cummins fell out of favor due to injuries and was on and off for the Australian team for a while. However, since his return in 2017, he has established himself as a premier bowler for Australia across all formats.

He opted out of 2019 IPL due to the world cup, however, with the T20 world cup set to take place next year, Pat has mentioned on a couple of occasions that he is looking to play T20 cricket to prepare for the global event. He can be a great asset for any team that manages to buy his services for the upcoming IPL season.

Jimmy Neesham

Another handy all rounder, Neesham has been a solid player with a number of notable performances with both bat and the ball. He could be yet another great asset and is currently not associated with any IPL franchisee.

These were some of the names which could be really in demand when the IPL franchises meet in December. If you are interested in IPL and follow latest odds and betting, you should check out IPL betting with 10cric.
