Auctioning of stalls for the annual Hariyali Amawasya Mela began today. A total of 86 stalls were auctioned today resulting in a revenue of Rs 2,73,600 to the municipal corporation exchequer.
This is for the first time that 100 stalls from Big Bazaar to Soni Hospital have been earmarked to be given out to female stall owners. These stalls will be given out via a lottery system.
Similarly, for the first time, it is mandated for all stall applicants to present either their Aadhar card or any other photo identity proof for applying.
President of the Revenue Committee, Nana Lal Vaya, Revenue supervisor Taran Yadav, Sharad Arora, Pradeep Jain, Nasir Khan, Shanta Jain and other members of the Revenue department oversaw the proceedings.
