Like ever other individual, even royal blood has interesting hobbies. Udaipur Prince, Lakshyaraj Singh not only has an interesting hobby but a fairly complicated one as well.
Lakshyaraj like developing complex tracks for the model trains that he has on his terrace at the palace. His latest addition is a 250-foot long traack that can carry four trains of differing sizes. For people who are deep into the area, the sizes are N Scale, O Scale, OO Scale and HO Scale.
Lakshyaraj was given complex models of planes, cars, ships and trains when he was a child and he continues to carry that fascination.
Prince collects complex models on his trips abroad. Not only does he see the complex tracks as fun, he also sees them as a metaphor in life. As he builds tracks or witnesses trains in motion, he realises its similarities with life and how one is always in motion from one point to other. He says that we continuously need to move and need to go and grow.
He says on his Instagram page: “Laying down the tracks of my miniature scale model trains was a reminder of what track I want my life to go on and how hard I need to work to achieve my goals“
Lakshyaraj maintains that it is the setting of the track that excites him more than the model track itself. He says that it is no fun in creating a barren track and adding landscape around the track, adds a lot of fun, satisfaction and joy to the experience.
