In a major drive against parking in the no-parking zone outside Celebration Mall, Sukher police confiscated 70 vehicles and presented challans to 41 vehicle owners. This includes 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers.
Sukher police carried out this drive yesterday, Sunday evening, in conjunction with the local representatives of the area. SHO Mangilal informed that though the mall has a parking space but people park their vehicles outside the mall to save parking fees. As a result of this, the road from Nathdwara to Udaipur was getting congested and traffic was getting impacted.
Mangilal said that people have been explained many a times about parking in proper place and they had also placed a no-parking zone sign outside Celebration Mall. However, when people continued to ignore the advice, Police had to take the step.
Representatives from Sukher Ward were present during the exercise. Mangilal informed that last year 8 vehicles were stole from outside Celebration Mall and hence they had placed two constables outside the mall for keeping a tab.
