Police have arrested the robbers who looted jewellers of a private firm in Tidi on Udaipur-Ahmedabad highway on 24th June. Robbers had fled in the victims’ car taking away 470 kilo silver and around one and a half kilo of gold. The robbers were presented before the court on Saturday. 6 of them have been sent to jail whereas a week’s remand has been increased for the other 4.
Tidi police have arrested Pintu aka Nirmal Singh Jhala s/o Gajju Bha of Rajkot, Vijay s/o Vaktavar Gurjar of Manduthal, Sukhlal aka Sukhi s/o VeniRam Gurjar of Vajmiya, Bhagwati s/o Bhima Meena of Karmal, Nana Lal s/o Bhanwar Gurjar of Parmada, Onkar s/o Kalu Meena of Bhainkada, Heera s/o Nathu Gurjar of Bhainkada, Raju s/o Kanniram Khatik of Khemli, Lalu s/o Bhanwru Ravat of Ramaj, Puran s/o Goverdhan Gurjar of Choti Khedi. 431 kilogram of silver has been recovered and 39 kilo still needs to be recovered. Gold is yet to be recovered from the culprits. Court has increased duration of remand for Bhagwati, Vijay, Pintu and Sukhlal.
The accused had thrown chilli powder on the victims’ face and taken away all the silver and gold on gun point. They had taken away the car which had 470 kilogram silver and 1 ½ kg of gold.
