Promotional road show for first local film “Maharana Pratap- The First Freedom Fighter”
A road show was organized in the city today as a promotional activity of ‘Maharana Pratap – The First Freedom Fighter’; a film based on Maharana Pratap’s life. The film is produced by Udaipur based Alok Sanskar Vision Films and Alok Audio Visuals Pvt. Ltd.
This film is said to be the first ever on Maharana Pratap, Mewar’s great patriot and freedom fighter.
The road show comprised of a quiz contest on Maharana Pratap’s life and personality; the winners received an audio CD of the film.
The music release of the movie was on 23rd January at Alok Institution, by Dr. Pradeep Kumawat Director of Alok Institutions.
Dr Pradeep Kumawat said, “Maharana Pratap – The First Freedom Fighter is the first ever film made on the great warrior Maharana Pratap. Although, several efforts have been made by many people to make a movie or television series on Pratap; none of them were successful.”
Informing more about the music in the movie, Kumawat says, “There are 9 songs in all depicting the story of the triumphant land of Rajasthan. The lead song of the movie, ‘Yaad Aayega Jaane Wala’ is sung by Late Jagjeet Singh. Other songs in the movie are ‘Bharat ke Ranveero ko’ and ‘Mayar Dharo put Khathe’ by Shail Hada; ‘Pag Gunghru Bandh Meera’ by Sadhna Sargam; ‘Veer Pratap Ki Dekho Yeh Amar Kahani’, ‘Nila Gora ra asvaar’ and ‘Apne Malik Ke Isharo Ko Samajne Wala’ by Rupkumar Rathore; ‘Rana Dhir Dharam Rakhwala’ by Dr. Prem Bhandari and ‘Yeh Lahu Roti Huyi Sham’ by Bhupendra.
Dr. Kumawat said that the “USP of the film is its music which is given by Udaipur based musician Dr. Prem Bhandari while Avinash Chandrachud and Vishawjeet Joshi are the associate music arrangers. Both Avinash and Vishwajeet have worked in many famous Marathi films as music directors.”
Dr. Prem Bhandari informed, “The music of the film has the fragrance of Mewar. Traditions of Mewar are given importance in the music and are made in various studios of Mumbai to give the correct emphasis on the songs and with superior technology to make it a film of high standard and quality”.
“The movie is ready for release in theaters and has gone for censor approval. Promotion programs are going on everywhere around the world by medium newspapers; internet; etc.” said Dr. Kumawat.
