Moved by Martyrdom of the brave soldiers who lost their lives in the recent Uri terror strike, an Udaipur based entrepreneur who runs a restaurant in the pilgrim/tourist town of Mahabaleshwar in Maharashtra has announced free food and shelter to the family members of each martyr when they happen to come to the town on pilgrimage. Naresh Jain, a resident of Thamla village in Mavli near Udaipur, Mewar runs a food studio along with his partner Dinesh Singh in the pilgrim city of Mahabaleshwar, in Satara district of Maharashtra. The Uri incident left a deep impact on his heart particularly due to Hawaldar Nimb Singh Rawat, a brave soldier from Mewar who also lost his life in the attack. The plight of Ravat’s family touched their hearts.
As per Dinesh Singh and Naresh, owner of Food Studio in Mahabaleshwar, “The soldiers are really brave who leave the comforts of their homes to defend the frontiers so that the remaining people can sleep in peace. It is also our duty to pay back specially for the martyrs who laid down their lives. No one cares for their family members after some time and they live a life of poverty”.
The entrepreneurs have announced to provide free accommodation and food for the families of the martyrs who visit Mahabaleshwar town for pilgrimage.
Their restaurant ‘Food Studio’ is famous for its vegetarian cuisine and is visited by celebrities. “Family members of any Shaheed would be welcome here and we would bear the expenses of their stay in the town,” Naresh claimed.
On being asked what prompted them to start a restaurant in another tourist place when their own native town is a largely visited tourist place, they said that on a visit to Mahabaleshwar in 2011, they noticedthe dearth of pure vegetarian restaurants which served quality and economical vegetarian food. This prompted them to start Food Studio in 2014 and this has become a favorite destination for pilgrims and tourists including celebrities.
Dinesh, who belongs to Medhta near Dabok in Udaipur, said that now they have even setup a Wax Museum, which is a replica of Madame Tussauds in London, setting it up just behind Food Studio. Wax replicas of Hollywood stars are available for visitors who would otherwise have needed to visit the original in London.
Food Studio has said that they will salute all martyrs and do what is within their capacity to assist the martyrs families.
