The condition of the Government Sr. Sec. School of Karawada village has become such that the school administration has to run the classes in two different shifts. This situation emerged after the roof of the building collapsed on Saturday morning when all the students were attending the assembly.
A day after the incidence, the team of Education Department and Public representatives including the District Education Officer and MLA Nana Lal Ahari visited the school and took the stock of the situation.
The District Education Officer Shivji Gaur informed that the lack of proper space is leading the staff and administration to take classes in 2 separate shifts. After verification of the situation, the officials found that the estimated cost of repairing and to rebuild new classrooms would be more than Rs. 50 Lac.
Gaur further added that the estimated cost will be sent to the District Collector and efforts would be made to raise funds from public representatives and other agencies. Local Sarpanch Kamlesh Garasia assured that he will give aid to the school administration for the construction of new rooms in the school.
