Water level in Madri dam has risen by 3 feet going to 22 feet and 5 inches.
Heavy rains night before last in the catchments have brought a good inflow of water in the water bodies of Udaipur. Madri dam saw a rise in water level by 3 feet in just one night’s heavy rain taking the level to 22 feet 5 inches.
After experiencing humidity, the city was blessed with heavy showers on Monday afternoon. Since the catchment areas experienced slow to heavy rain constantly, inflow of water increased water level in all the lakes of the city. All gates of Fatehsagar lake were re-opened since there was constant inflow of water from Madar. Vallabhnagar dam saw a rise in water level and rose to 7 and half feet. Devas(I) water level has gone to 13 feet after a rise of 2 inches.
Pichola lake is getting continuous flow from Sisarma. In the last 24 hours until 8 a.m. on Monday morning, Jaisamand experienced rainfall upto 3 inches, Kejad had 19 mm, Rishabhdev had 30 mm, Kherwada got 14 mm, Pratapgarh 120 mm, Pipalkhoont 72 mm and Som Kamla Amba of Dungarpur had 50 mm rain.
