Courtesy the opening of link channel between Lake Pichola and Fateh Sagar and the continuous water flow from Sisarma and Madar side, both the lakes reached the 10 feet mark. Lake Pichola has a maximum capacity of 11 feet post which water will overflow from Swaroop Sagar side into Ayad river.

Continuous and heavy rains have ensured a continuous feeding into both the lakes. Lake Pichola continued to receive water from Sisarma river that was running at 3 feet. In parallel, Fateh Sagar was receiving water from the Madar channel. Madar channel was also running at 3 feet.

Both Badar Madar and Chhota Madar lakes are overflowing and the water flow at Madar channel is at its maximum. As a result, portion of water from Madar lakes is directly passed on to Ayad river from Chikalwas Feeder.

Udaisagar lake is also just 7 feet abreast of overflowing. The current ongoing heavy rains signal that we might have an overflow at all our lakes pretty soon.
