One laborer, 36 years of age was killed on the spot, when the truck they were in, met with an accident near Udaipur. 5 others were injured and have been taken to hospital.

As per police reports, a truck, which was carrying boxes of food overturned as the driver lost control of the vehicle. The laborers sitting at the back of the truck amidst the cartons, got stuck with the load under the overturned truck.

Onlookers managed to rescue the laborers, while one died on impact. One of those identified as dead was Sevaram s/o Nana Gameti. Those injured are Bhurilal Gameti, aged 20; Kalu Gameti, aged 38 and Rooplal Gameti, among others.

The truck driver and conductor fled from the spot immediately and the search is on as per the latest update. Those injured have been taken to hospital.
