1000 challans issued for breaking traffic rules
Traffic police is in action. DO NOT BREAK TRAFFIC RULES.
Police department has started its campaign against public breaking traffic rules. In the past 4 days, 1000 challans were issued by the traffic police. The step has been taken to make the people aware that very soon heavy penalties will be levied against those who are found breaking traffic rules.
Police has even written to the traffic department to cancel the licenses of the people found breaking traffic rules. Now transport department will issue notices regarding cancellation of license based on the case. The higher officials are even showing a comparative chart of the previous and the latest penalties to public. The campaign will continue until 30th August as directed by the SP.

The following challans were issued in the past 4 days:
Over-speeding: 207
Red light rules: 343
Using mobile while driving: 197
Drunken driving: 28
Loading passengers in goods vehicle: 16
Apart from this, 250 other challans were also issued.
The traffic police have the following equipments:
Breath analyser, Speed radar gun, Interceptor vehicle with camera, E-challan machine and photo challans for those speed away after breaking rules.
