34 Seater Buses to Deployed for City Bus Services

Operator appointed by Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC) for running city buses has started the groundwork for restarting City bus services on two routes. Around 8 buses with a passenger capacity of 34 individuals each have being ordered by operator Rawal & Sons.

 
Operator appointed by Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC) for running city buses has started the groundwork for restarting City bus services on two routes. Around 8 buses with a passenger capacity of 34 individuals each have being ordered by operator Rawal & Sons.
According to Yogesh Rawal, Director, Rawal & Sons, the first set of 8 buses has been ordered, while the other set of 8 more buses will be ordered later. If all goes as per plan, the service is expected to start from 14th February.
According to Babulal Rehgar, Officer, Transport Department, UMC, initially 8 buses would be deployed for the two routes viz. Eklingpura to Badi Hospital and Rampura Circle to Dabok Circle: 4 buses on each routes.
Babulal Rehgar further informed that fare for using services will be discussed in a board meeting scheduled on 4th February. It may be noted that earlier Rs.20 per head was the maximum fare charged against using service for maximum distance, while minimum fare was Rs.5 per head.
