District Collector Ashutosh A.T Pednekar took a review meeting of various departments where measures were proposed to be followed in the city.

To combat the problems of water scarcity in the summer season, he ordered the administration to cut off all illegal connections. If required, hand pumps and tube wells will be constructed along with other measures to solve scarcity with the help of PHED.

He said that samples of water will be taken to assure safe drinking water. Also, water outlets or pyau will be marked and their owners will have to arrange for their maintenance.

On the other hand, Chief Medical & Health Officer Dr. Sanjeev Tank informed that with the increase in temperature there has been no new cases of swine flu and no reported death since 6th March.

He further added that the chances of diseases such as diarrhea, typhoid and jaundice are high in this season, including heat stroke and loo for which the administration has taken all measures in advance,  There will be ward-wise fogging on 25th April which will conclude by 15th May.

In rural areas, fogging will be done plus Odomos will be distributed to save them from mosquito bites and related diseases.

Collector in the meeting appreciated the work done by the electricity department.
