Following the major anti-encroachment drive of Udaipur municipal corporation, UIT carried out the exercise of clearing the footpaths this morning at Fatehpura.

UIT cleared the encroachment on footpaths at Fatehpura and other public places. Udaipur municipal corporation had started this anti-encroachment operation a day back on Delhi Gate. Going strict with rules, UIT started clearing all temporary and permanent encroachments on footpaths today from Fatehpura to Syphon road. UIT secretary Ramnivas Mehta said that the team is strictly following rules against encroachment.

The team also alerted everyone that strict legal actions will be taken against those who try to occupy these areas again in future. The plan will be carried out till September and all encroachments will be cleared. Municipal corporation started this operation recently and will continue with the same till all encroachments are cleared. On Thursday, the anti-encroachment work was given shape in Ashwini Bazar and Delhi gate area.
