Politicians are responsible for development of any country and well being of its citizens. Carelessness on their part is detrimental on all accounts and one such example of irresponsibility is Circuit House, which has been crying out for maintenance for a long time now.

Circuit House being a government property falls under the responsibility of PWD (Public Works Department), and is used for accommodation by Politicians and Authorities of both State and National Govt.

The rest rooms constructed for dignified personnel are in good condition with all the basic and modern amenities, but the area used by police men and guards is waiting for proper maintenance since past 50 years. This includes their toilets, lighting, restroom and porch.

A guard residing in the campus from past 4 years informed that, “Toilets are in a very bad state. The floor is broken and it does not have lights. One has to carry water from outside. Apart from this, one part of building has been closed for 3 years and is suffering from heavy wear & tear.”

When contacted, Rajive Mehta, Executive Engineer, PWD said that, “We never received any complaint over the years – neither on the part of main building nor for guard rooms. Besides, we had released tenders for maintenance work but none of the contractors came for the job.”

Gulab Chand Kataria, after inaugurating a newly constructed government building announced that all government building must be painted on annual basis, while those that require maintenance should be checked on time.
