Council Failed again to Demolish the Illegal ConstructionThe team of Municipal Council repeatedly failed today, after the second consecutive attempt to demolish the illegal construction which is completely residential property at Bhopalpura, could not be accomplished.

The officers failed to present the “orders-of-demolishment” to the building owners; however the Flying Squad of the Municipal Council succeeded to pull down only some part of the building amid heated argument between building owner and administrative officials.

After the strong media pressure, City Council appointed a team under supervision of Nana Lal Regar (Revenue Officer, MCU), Regar, Ex. En. Shishirkant Vashney, A. En. Manish Arora, M. L. Samar (2nd In-Charge Revenue Officer, MCU) and jawans of Mewar Bhil Corp and reached the spot today morning.

According to Municipal Council, the owners of the building have permission for only G +2 level construction from UMC, constructed the third, fourth and the fifth floors illegally.

The team comprising of few Home Guards, Council Officers and Technical Experts entered the building and started the demolition process from the fifth floor with gas cutters and other equipments, while the police team of Mewar Bhil Corp stayed out of the building, except for only few Home Guards who accompanied the officials in building.

Council Failed again to Demolish the Illegal Construction

As soon as the team started dismantling the construction, the owner Ritesh Suhalka raised the issue against using gas cutters as it might cause problems to the neighboring buildings and asked Council Officials to take the responsibility if anything goes wrong. The owners also asked officials to show order-copy and allegedly forced the team out of the building.

“UMC is neither professional in their work nor are they considering our request. I told UMC officials several times that they do not have experts for demolition of multi-storey building, I will get my own labour force and demolish the non-permitted construction, yet they do not understand and have forced in the building. I have warned them already that Administration will be responsible for any mishap that might occur due to their irresponsible behavior”, said one of the building owners, Suhalka.

Council Team could not manage the situation and returned back.
