Student Union office of the University College of Social Sciences and Humanities was inaugurated today by the chief guest, Deependra Singh Shekhawat, President, Rajasthan Legislative Assembly.

Hundreds of students, mainly supporters of Dinesh Bhoi, student leader, UCSSH gathered in the college premises.

The function was lead by Prof. I. V. Trivedi, Vice-Chancellor, Mohan Lal Sukhadia University. Special guests on the occasion were Gajendra Singh Shaktawat, Parliamentary Secretary and Lal Singh Jhala, President, District Rural Congress.

Dr. Sharad Shrivastav, Dean, UCSSH and Dr. G. S. Kumpawat, ADSW, UCSSH were also present for the event.

Shekhavat also inaugurated renovation of hostels and library in the University campus. He laid the foundation stone of the statue of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, which will soon be placed in the campus.

The inaugurals were followed by garlanding of the chief guest and special guests in the University Auditorium. After lighting the lamp, Shekhawat addressed students present in the auditorium.

In his motivating speech, Deependra Singh Shekhawat said, “I always appreciate the youngsters to come forward in politics; it was unfortunate that students’ elections were forbidden in the past few years.”

Shekhawat expressed, “Student elections provide the quality of leaders to the country. Students should not limit themselves to the college elections only but they should go and lead at higher levels”.

Students enjoyed the cultural program that followed after the departure of the guests. There were energetic dance performances and also solo song performances.

Concluding the program, Dinesh Bhoi thanked all his followers and staff members of the college for making the program a big hit.
