Delhi to decide Future of Ayad River

Udaipur is expecting good news from Central Government regarding development of Ayad River. A detail project report of Rs. 180.04 Crore will be the highlight of an upcoming meeting in Delhi.

Officials are expecting to get proposed budget for Ayad under National River Conservation Plan. Urban Improvement Trust has already prepared for the scheduled meeting on 24th Dec.

District Collector Ashutosh Pednekar and UIT Secretary Ramniwas Mehta are going to attend this important meeting. The private company Consultant Vapkos has presented the DPR of Rs. 180.04 Crore for the development of Ayad which was approved by the district administration.

If the project gets backing from Central Government, Ayad River which has turned into a huge nullah of sewerage will get pollution free. This will directly affect Udai Sagar Lake. The project includes River Channelization, Pollution free river and construction of landscape and beautification of outer area.

Project also includes 21.16km of sewerage line, 4 anicut, 9 gardens, 5 km Road and 3 STP (Sewerage Treatment Plan).
