Officials from the Food Safety Department, Udaipur have started a sudden movement to check the purity and quality of food products used by roadside vendors operating at Sukhadia Circle, Fateh Sagar and other tourist spots in the city.

The team, which is comprised of Food Inspectors Anil Bhardwaj and Bhagwanlal Bhardwaj, scrutinized Bambiya Market at Sukhadia Circle and collected food samples of the local vendors including those of different snacks, cold beverages and frozen desserts.

According to Anil Bhardwaj, the inspection will continue for a few more days and will be conducted at different places in the city. “We have collected the food samples and the final report will arrive after 14 days” said Bhardwaj.

They also instructed vendors to maintain the quality of their food and hygiene at their food joints to prevent any physical infirmity among their customers.
