The Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC) purchased a De-Weeding Machine under National lake Conservation Project (NLCP). The same was given a formal inauguration which was done by MLA Gulab Chand Kataria.

According to Rajni Dangi, Mayor, UMC, “De-weeding Machine has been imported from US after incurring Rs.4.10 cr which includes machine cost and maintenance cost. The machine will help in removing Water Hyacinth (Jal Kumbhi) from lakes across city.”

During official inauguration Gulab Chand Kataria chanted Hindu shloks. Thereafter De-Weeding Machine was introduced into Pichola Lake for Cleaning.
