On behalf of the Governor, ADC Annadvardhan Shukla, OSD Purnima Mundel, and Dr. Gyan Kaur today distributed 79 cycles to tribal girl students and one tricycle to a handicapped girl student of Dal Gram Panchayat Samiti, Salumber.

After attending the convocation ceremony today at MLSU, Alva took a meeting of the officials of Tribal Area Development at circuit house today evening. She took a review report on the plans, budget, schemes and progress and obstacles in the implementation of the schemes.

Dr. Subodh Agarwal, Divisional Commissioner and ex-officio commissioner of TAD, gave the report of the development work on TAD and also attracted the governor’s attention on the problems while implementing the schemes.

Dr. Agarwal also informed Alva about the successful use of the resources by the officials of Pratapgarh and Shahabad on government schemes and Projects.

She urged for the significant monitoring of implementation of the schemes. She also urged that there should be ‘self-employment encouragement programs’ in the tribal areas so that the people of the tribal areas become self sufficient as well as self dependent. “Self employed tribal people can also improve their living standard by taking benefit from the government schemes”, said Alva.
