While many residents and netizens were enjoying the water gushing out of Swaroop Sagar and the high waves of Fatehsagar, there was another section, who were struggling with the water levels rising around their homes and shops, making commute difficult.

Water levels on the entered shops and homes, in a similar situation to what happened last week. Most mohalla roads have been redone after the smart city sewage work was taken up across Udaipur. The contractors have not taken into cogniscance drainage systems and the water holes are full. 

Residents across the city have shared pictures and videos of the situation in the bylanes and main roads of the colonies in Udaipur.

It is high time the Nagar Nigam and Smart City projects firm take a look at the situation while the monsoon is still happening and the work is still in progress in other parts of the city. Maybe Udaipur can have a safer monsoon next year.
