The Urban Improvement Trust (UIT), Udaipur organized an Open Session Public Hearing under the chair of District Collector, Ashutosh Pednekar. The meeting exposed a number of irregularities, which included illegal construction and drainage problems in various localities along with problems with supply of drinking water.

34 pending cases related to individual and common city issues were raised for discussion and review. These cases were heard by District Collector and were disposed off with an on the spot decision. Prominent among them were illegal construction, encroachment and sanitation problems across the city.

One among the cases were of BhuwanaBypass, where a road constructed by UIT has been shifted by 8 meters, due to which a Plot owned by Manish Nalwaya on the road side has been acquired. The case has been kept pending for the next hearing, while officials have been instructed to come up with proper records.

Ashutosh Pednekar has instructed the respective officials to consider the other cases on priority.
