Forest department has taken steps to beautify Jaisamand pal to attract tourists by cleaning the place and increasing facilities for all. This area will now be a no-plastic zone and LED lights will be installed for better view. A children’s park has also been developed.
A team has been appointed to keep the entire area clean to attract more visitors. The development work is being looked after by the members of Eco Development Committee of Retguria village. CCF Rahul Bhatnagar said that a Rs. 10 charge is being taken from tourists since 8th December,2016 which is being used for development of the tourist spot. In the next two months, 40 LEDs and CCTV cameras will also be installed.
Earlier there used to be a lot of people consuming alcohol and littering on this spot as a result of which tourists and local visitors used to feel insecure. Now with the LED lights and camera, people will be able to enjoy in the evening as well. A team has been appointed to keep a check on alcoholism and people will not be allowed to drink here anymore. EDC President Mannaram said that there will be a ban on polythene and people carrying any kind of plastic will be checked at the entry gate itself. Jaisamand pal area will be converted into a no-plastic zone. These steps will be strictly followed to keep the area pollution free.
Roads and statues to be repaired
The look of entrance to Jaisamand pal needs to be taken care of, too. Roads need to be repaired. The elephant statues at the entrance also need to be repaired.
