Youngsters of Udaipur are once again coming all out to support the City Administration in their cleanliness initiative.

One such recent initiative is that of the LOL Club, which is a group of youngsters who carry out various interactive social events as a part of their practice. They have decided to provide a help hand towards a cleaner Udaipur, under the able guidance of the District Collector.

According to Siddharth Singhvi, Coordinator of the LOL Club, they plan to distribute paper bags at various Kirana Shops and to street vendors free of cost, as a substitute to the heavily used polythene and hybrid bags. The use of polythene is a very big contributor to pollution.

Siddharth further added that the idea is to distribute around One Lac paper bags to General Stores and Fruit and Vegetable venders, but for the initial funding of Rs.1.5 lac, they are looking forward to assistance from Udaipurites who can contribute according to their will.

The contribution boxes are installed at various shops across the city. One can even make a call at 9983002922 or reach the Club office for making the contribution.

Siddharth also informed that membership of the club is open to everyone, after filling a normal entrance form at the LOL Club’s office located at Shobhagpura. The club holds its regular activity on every second Saturday of the month.
