Making it effortless for both foreigners and hoteliers, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and National Informatics Center (NIC) has introduced online ‘C’ form registration process in Udaipur.

Now there is no need of filling the form manually and submitting it to FRRO’s office as all user information will be recorded on the basis of online form submission. A workshop for the same was held today by senior officers of NIC.

Hundreds of hoteliers and people from travel industries attended the program and understood the new process.

Filling C Form is mandatory for any foreigner within 24 hours of his arrival. Generally C Forms are filled through hotel or lodge where foreigner is staying or the foreigner has to visit local FRRO’s office and get the form filled.

But the online process is simple and feasible for the foreigners and hotel where he is accommodated.

C Form contains basic personal details and travel details of a foreigner. It is necessary for the safety of foreigner and also helps security agencies to track suspicious activities.

Senior System Analysts Rajeev Arora and Mohammad Yaseen Hussain with their team consisted of Jeetendra Verma, Technical Director, G.K. Verma, District Informatics Officer and Mazhar Hussain, District Informatics Assistant conducted the workshop.

Mohammad Yaseen Hussain informed that the service was started in Jaipur and Ajmer. Now it is starting in Udaipur under pilot project and soon it will be fully functional.

CIA officers requested local travel industry, education institute, medical institutes and tourist department to cooperate with them and share details of foreigners through online C form.
