Pratapnagar and Clock Tower police stations participated in an awareness campaign on Sunday. The awareness campaign took place in a school at University road where area councillor and residents of that area were also present.

It was pointed out by public that alcoholics create a lot of nuisance on University road. To this police officers clarified that wine shops cannot be closed but action can certainly be taken against people who create nuisance. People also brought forward the issue of black film on car’s glasses. Police officials went ahead and had the black film removed from the particular vehicles. Regarding parking issues, tea vendors were also notified who are usually standing outside coaching institutes and Bohra Ganesh Temple road.

It was also directed by police officers that people must inform neighbours and police both when they leave their premises for a long time for outstation weddings and other vacations. Police verification must be done for every person who is being given the house on rent. CCTV cameras have also become the need of the hour. People must install CCTV cameras outside their homes for keeping an eye on external activities.

Last but not the least, importance of seat belts and helmets was once again pointed out.
