The annual mass procession of Jagannath Yatra will be held on 29^th June. Special attraction of the Yatra will be the maha aarti with 21000 lamps. The decision was taken in a meeting of Dharmoutsav Samiti organized at Jagdish Mandir today.

Dinesh Makwana, President, Dharmoutsav Samiti, informed, “Religious events will be organized over three days starting on 28^th June, where a bhajan sandhya will be organized. On 29^th June annual procession will be taken out across city which will travel around 7 kms. A mass dine would be held on 31^st June to conclude the series of events.”

Makwana added that similar to last year, a maha aarti with 21000 lamps will be organized at Kala Ji Gora Ji locality during procession.

The City Administration has also started preparing for the annual event. They reviewed route of mass procession in the meeting held today. The administration will ensure proper diversion of traffic during the procession along with other security measures.
