To restrict black marketing of pulses (dal) and regularize the hiked prices, the Food & Supply Department checked the stocks of pulses in many cities including Udaipur.

To restrict black marketing of pulses (dal) and regularize the hiked prices, the Food & Supply Department checked the stocks of pulses in many cities including Udaipur.

District Food Officer (first) Himmat Singh Bhati informed that six big dealers came under scrutiny where the stock of pulses were checked; found to be under limit hence, no actions were taken. The teams were sent at 4 mills of Savina Krishi Mandi and 2 mills of Madri Industrial Area.

The stocks were thoroughly checked and no irregularity was found. With the ongoing inspection, there has been a slight reduction in prices of pulses in the city which is expected to reduce more in the coming days.
