After 50 years of residing in their houses, 12 households of Dore Nagar Sector-3 received patta of their lands under second phase of ‘Prashasan Sheron Ke Sang’ scheme initiated by State Government; around 46 houses were to be allotted pattas but due to some technical reason only 12 could be allotted at the moment.

Patta were given today by Rajni Dangi, Chairperson Municipal Council along with Commissioner Satya Narayan Acharya, while the possession of the houses was allotted back in 1964 by UIT.

Raj Mal Chittoda, resident of the colony, briefed about the delay in allotment of patt and added that in 1959 UIT had handed over the land to Power House Worker Housing Development Committee Pvt. Ltd. Committee carried out construction over the land and gave possession to 46 members, these workers were those who were shortlisted in State Government’s housing scheme.

According to Raj Mal, after taking possession they applied for Patta, later identified that houses did not have proper setback and regularization, they were levied with penalty. However, major amount of penalty was deposited by the residents but failed to pay Rs 6600, which after compound interest of around 45 years became Rs 1.27 lacs.

By the end of 2012, state government launched ‘Prashasan Sheron Ke Sang’ scheme. Under the scheme, they received a concession of 50% on penalty amount which was recently deposited by the members and were allotted patta for their respective houses.
