Enraged Residents of houses, that were given notices by UIT and Municipal Council, gathered at municipal council commissioner’s office and demanded justice on the issue.

Residents of ‘No Construction Zone’ today encircled the office of the Commissioner, Satya Narayan Acharya and questioned him on the basis they were giving notices of demolition for houses.

Dinesh Makwana (President of the Group) said, “Our houses are not laying in the down the Lakes then why they are giving us notice for demolition”. Makwana and the members of the group also said, “The Secretary UIT, Commissioner Nagar Parishad, SDO (Girwa) and the then former District Collector has misinformed the Court and diverted the Court’s decision from the main point.”

“We are discussing with our advocate to put a criminal litigation on aforementioned people”, said Makwana.

He said that, “All the above said persons and organizations had given an affidavit, confirmed by the then District Collector Hemant Gera, to the Honorable High Court on October 17, 2011 saying that all the constructions coming under the notification of January 17, 1997 had been stopped as informed by the UIT, Nagar Parishad and SDO (Girwa). But, after 1997 more than 5000 constructions have been sanctioned”, Makwana showed the copy of the affidavits in front of the media.

Makwana added that not only this, UIT published a Public Information in the Leading Hindi News Papers on June 27, 2000 saying that it has been permitted by the state government to regularize constructions near Pichola and Fatehsagar and that the interested parties can submit the fee for regularization at the office of Urban Improvement Trust undersigned by top authorities of UIT and UMC,then why are they giving us notices now”, asked Makwana.

Female Members from the group also encircled Rajni Dangi and complained their travail.

Similarly Gulab Chand Katariya with his distant relative Akash Bagrecha met the collector today and asked to intervene and provide relief to the victims of the court’s order.

Question also arises that in the case of Wardha Enterprise, there must be a plan map given to the bank authorities for loan regarding the road passing through the lake. “It clearly states that the UIT had granted permission to build that road otherwise the bank authorities would not have sanctioned such a big loan amount”, said a member of the group sitting on ‘Gherav’.

Member of the group also challenged UIT and Parishad to demolish illegal construction of Fateh Prakash, Singhal and Wardha first and then come to them. These members will also sit on dharna at Jagdish chawk tomorrow.
