PHED Department has promised a comprehensive water supply system which will complement the developments in the city, towards the Smart City initiative.

Speaking at a meeting held on Thursday evening at the Municipal Corporation under the chair of Mayor Kothari, Additional Chief Engineer of PHED, Lalit Karol said that the department is working on a plan for water supply, that rather than being an obstacle in the Smart city developments, acts more as a complementary service to ensure that citizens of the Smart City are not left wanting.  PHED and UMC will work together on this initiative.

Jagdish Chowk, Sutharwada, Kumharwada, Hiran Magri, Ghantaghar, etc are the locations that are most affected by irregular water supply due to old pipelines in the system.  Leakage, dirty water supply and slow water supply due to squeezed pipelines are regular complains from these areas.
