State Government Workers declare 1 day strike

Workers of State Governed Offices and Schools in Udaipur and nearby areas have announced a day off from duty to protest against the State Government’s action of partially enforcement of pay scale as declared in Krishna Bhatnagar’s report.

Teachers, Clerks, Assistant Technical Staff, Hospital Staff along with other workers are aggrieved by the overlooking of 6th Pay Salary Structure announced by Central Government and by the partial implementation of Krishna Bhatnagar’s report given in the year 2006.

According to Neelam Kumar Dhabhai, District President, Rajasthan State Workers Association, “We have declared a day off from work to submit our protest against the State Government. In case our demands are overlooked, we will go on an indefinite strike from 4th May”.

Since teaching staff will demonstrate over the issue on 1st May in front of Collectorate, a holiday has been declared in government schools and offices.
