Top Administrative Officials on the way to Meet CM over No Construction Zone

All the top administrative officials of Udaipur, including District Collector Vikas Bhale, UIT Chairperson Roop Kumar Khurana and Municipal Council Chairperson Rajni Dangi left to Jaipur to meet Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister of Rajasthan, over the issue of ‘No-Construction Zone’.

The team of representatives will also meet Chief Secretary C. K. Mathew, Principal Secretary Local Self Government G. S. Sandhu and the Officer Appointed especially for No Constriction Zone, Niranjan Arya.

After the series of protests and demonstrations by common citizens, particularly those who are directly or indirectly affected by High Court’s order to demolish residences constructed in No-Construction Zone; the sufferers are holding their hopes high on the meeting.

The local administrative officials are taking time to implement the court’s orders and to discuss upon IA (Intervener Application) and SLP (Special Leave Petition), the time granted to implement the orders of demolition has already elapsed.

Interestingly, in another incidence that came into light today, the high court petitioner Rajendra Razdan who sparked the light of lake conservation has written an apology letter to the Municipal Council to release the confiscated clothes of his servant, who was allegedly caught washing clothes in the lake and the clothes were seized by council’s team.

Responding to UT correspondent, Razdan agreed to the letter he send to UMC, but said, “Why to make issue of this?. Yes, I sent the letter; I just wanted to save the poor man”.
