With 63 cases in the first half today, an addition of another 16 cases towards the evening hours has brought the number of positive cases for the day in Udaipur to a record 79.

The office of the Chief Medical and Health Officer, Udaipur has issued instructions to all public establishments, which include shopping malls, restaurants, lunch houses, banks and related business establishments across the district to strictly adhere to the following instructions:

• Each of the above mentioned business establishments has to record the name, contact number and address of those visiting their premises on a daily basis.
• Each business establishment has to follow sanitization procedures and protocols within their establishment. The details of the sanitization activities has to be brought to the notice of the health department on a daily basis.

As per Dr Dinesh Kharadi, CMHO, Udaipur, the district administration will ensure that these instructions are followed strictly. This has been deemed necessary following the rising number of COVID cases in Udaipur, with close contact being the most vulnerable.

Dr Dinesh Kharadi also held a meeting with the health officers across the district at the Bhupalpura city dispensary. He instructed all health officers to ensure the following:

• All patients diagnosed COVID19 positive should be sent to the hospital immediately
• Close monitoring of COVID19 positive patients
• Comprehensive close contact tracing and testing
• Close contacts to remain within their homes for 14 days
